Our Rights and Responsibilities
We are postpartum doulas and we have completed the Newborn Mothers training Program plus regular, ongoing professional development. We follow a Code of Ethics and a Standard of practice, asserted by DONA International and The Bulgarian Doula Association.
The role of a doula is to provide emotional and practical support to families when a new baby is born. In order to empower new parents in their choices, a postpartum doula may provide evidence-based information regarding basic baby care and normal breastfeeding. A postpartum doula will always make referrals where appropriate and never gives advice or treat, diagnose or prevent any illness.
We take lots of care to provide valuable information but we cannot be responsible for the use that you make of that information.
Please be aware that the generalized information we provide is not a substitute for specialist advice tailored to your individual circumstances.
There is no professional relationship formed between us unless you explicitly choose to work with us by purchasing our services or products.
Doulas do not give advice or treat, diagnose or prevent any illness. As a new mother, you must take responsibility for your own decisions.
You are expected to get appropriate clinical, legal or financial advice when relevant.
